Ujjala

Ujjala, based out of Delhi, is an NGO that is dedicated to helping visually impaired students in the Delhi NCR region. The goals and focus of the NGO is to ensure that visual impairment does not result in the loss of opportunity for young and bright students. The NGO aims to make visually impaired students fully independent in order to enable them to lead dignified lives. This is done through various efforts, such as facilitating job placements, nurturing sporting and musical talent, and providing general day-to-day support. Overall, this leads to an environment that allows these students to nurture their innate abilities, hone their skills, and thrive. It also provides a sense of community for these students, which can be crucial in them moving forward.
